I think MH is somewhat right, however, i think the code should be given to the coders, of quakeone community, such as Baker, LordHavoc, R00K, lxndr, etc... experienced coders, should be entitled to proof read, "kimp's code" of his "toys."

this thread, has gone on for quite some time.

its rather ironic, since, the "kimp" i know/knew, asked the same questions over and over.

Yet others, as well as the latter itself, talks about him being a coder, and yet there is also talk of him being a minor? wtf?

But to be honest, i donno which of any is true or not, as i said i don't know the guy.

I too can see bluntz opinion of the note being posted on quakeone.com, however, i don't really see harm in it either, since someone else mentioned he's banned from every server + quakeone.com forums.

As for all the actions, i wouldn't know only, admins and kimp himself would know.

As for defending him, i don't really defend him as i said i'm a very neutral point, i find his endless similar and identical questions very annoying since, i did answer them once before.

The only, sympathy that comes from me, is i can relate my social status to his hacking/betrayal of others trust.

For myself, i over drink in group settings and my attitude is negative, and morbid, not aggressive per-say, but annoying enough to offend people. Which has made my social life somewhat inactive.

But, anyho... as for all the shit with kimp i don't know *shrugs*

Guess it would be nice to kill the subject somehow not in the literal sense, but, find a resolve.

There is a wide spectrum of angles about the "Kimp issue".

Kimp certainly isn't all bad and is in many ways likable.

But in the end, you can't have someone screwing up games or wasting valuable administration time [Vis, Avalanche, Solecord, R00k, Slot Zero, me, etc.]. It hurts Quake and diverts resources away from development.

To any extent there is latent hostility against Kimp from some of the players who have experienced Kimp wrecking games, that is just to be expected. It isn't like he is innocent, far from it.

yup, i could say kimps made it just about personal with me by now, and im sure he hasnt made it personal with about 80% i would guess of our community so far, so i dont see any reason other ppL should hate him so much, but i guess its cause of all the other shit he does... ppl dont just jump on a hating bandwagon, there has to be purpose, not cause he's gay and not cause he sucks at quake or any stupid reason.

I like this line most, because in kimp's letter he indicated he doesn't control any botnets, and i'm sorry to say its not possible to flood someone without access to a botnet these days. imo.

The rest the shit sounds familiar though, and yes its irritating when he does that the entire game and or just does it for half the game then goes silent and afk for the rest of the game.

ps: as for knowing your name, kimp does like to imitate other users names, which i admit is frustrating but, he likely got it from some unwitting, player who thought it was you playing on another server. (possibly) as for any other way for him to get someone's real name, not sure.

That's the most plausible, any ways... why is this thing still going.
