  • Hey if ammo still becomes a problem, I have an alternative idea for the weapon stay code. If you already have the weapon, you can still pick up Small ammo box ammo from it if you have less of that amount.
    Wow that sounds very close to my proposal of weapon pickups which I've posted at least once (if not more) on this thread, and mentioned to you on irc as well with no response ; )

      • Nice, the fact that proquake stated precise aim we all ignored the true nature of the fix, and ignorantly thought problem solved...

          • How about a map vote feature. Some maps are just too big for 2 people

              • Ok ok, how about making weak armor add strength to your stronger armor like in Quake II? I have 150 red armor and I pick up a green armor to add 10 red armor to my existing armor armor. Armor.

                • How about giving the nailgun incindary rounds (not super nailgun) since the nailgun sucks more than the local prostitute

                      • i like the changes so far.. keep up the good stuff!

                        maybe fix the spawncode so the chances of spawntelefrags are slim (like cr-mod) but then again.. spawntelefrags kinda add to the chaos..

                        • Things I should look into fixing:
                          * disable telefrags at the start of a match (with lots of players, people tend to get telefragged at the first second of the match)
                          * remove the barrier blocking the start area in e2m6

                          Things I think I should implement:
                          * the weaponstay idea that I stole from scar3crow

                          • RuneQuake has some great code to makes it so telefrags never occur via spawning. It's really quite ingenious.

                            Doesn't matter to me if you use it or not, I just wanted to point this out.

                            • Adding observer mode could also help this. A player having to press a button to get in the match, preventing everyone from joining all at once.

                              • E1M6 has a barrier at start? You sure you didn't press 1 instead of 4?
                                In addition the incindinary Nailgun rounds (not for super nailgun), I think the Nailgun should spit out nails at the same velocity the Super Nailgun does.
