In an open-ish space where you attack it head-on would be possible so long as you can retreat to cover.

A shambler you could probably do the same to- although a shambler dance in open-space is beyond me!

Vore - that works, until the vore comes around the corner, or fires a vore ball at you. Those things turn corners like Indy cars

Shamler - it's very easy in open space. Just run up to him, I mean get in his face. He will swing at you. Back away as soon as you see him swing. Run back up to him. Wash, rinse, repeat...

actully, the vore is better in open ground.

because with little practise, you can easily run round the vore and cause his voreball to hit him, which deals him damage. but becareful that you dont get hit by his claws and like i said in posts before, do not let his voreball get too close or else you'll never outrun it.

and remember, good old vore likes to send out many voreballs and if your clever enough, you could kill him without even using the axe, just make him kill him self

For me Shambler is much more challenging than Vore. Vore is an easy target as long as you can turn around him. Just run for a while to get enough lava balls behind you, and then go to the Vore, and give him back the gift. You don't even need an axe! Alternatively, the brute force attack, stay close to him while shooting him, he's quite slow while being hurt.

Singleplayer is, at least for me, retardedly easy. I can go through it in Nightmare without dieing once if I'm not restricting myself... like using only axe D:

To kill a Vore I usually make a voreball go into her. Monster attacks work on monsters. Heck, i've seen an ogre kill another enemy. I forget which.

Good question- everyone assumes they're female for some reason. Maybe they sound more 'feminine'- plus most gamers are used to spider-legged humanoids being female ('Spider Queen' etc).
Whether or not this was the original idea- who knows?
