Solecord pointed the DNS hub.quakeone.com to the other DNS quake1.ath.cx, which I have control over, so no matter how many times my IP changes, I can change it in the DNS quake1.ath.cx, thus fixing the DNS hub.quakeone.com as well.

I got some parts today. I need a hard drive, power supply, case, 2 more network cards and a cdrom. My uncle can give me these things, but in order to get a hold of him, I need some authentic Bayou voodoo dolls, dancing rituals, and demonic chanting... all done during the witching hour. haha, I got a power supply off my uncle, but he also gave me a slot 1 PII 300MHz. I looked up the code on it and found out it entered the market at $1981

Crap. All the IDE cables I have are designed with one of the pins blocked... but on my motherboard, it has all the pins on the IDE channel, including the one blocked on the cable... I can't use it. My uncle has a billion IDE cables though, he's probably got what I need. At least it turns on, lol

There's only 2 areas where the problem could be... motherboard or graphics card. I made a WTB thread at techpowerup, maybe someone has an old video card they want to get rid of for cheap. If that doesn't work than it's almost certian that it's the board.

After reviewing the situation I've decided to just get a motherboard. Cheap cheap cheap on ebay... $20. If that doesn't work than I will kick myself in the nuts.

Well first off it only cost me $40 for a bunch of used (granted, old) parts (well, $60 now since I had to buy another motherboard). Try finding a whole PC for that price. Second, I don't like proprietary systems (Dell, HP, Compaq, etc). Third I enjoy building systems.

It's cheaper to buy parts and build a computer yourself than order a proprietary system.

And why the hell does everyone call me "foquer", I am not French, and there's never been a "u" in "foqer"
