A crappy microsoft mouse. Only has 3 buttons. I couldn't find a 5 button mouse that wasn't wireless
ya I def won't want wireless. I like light mice.. Microsoft makes good mice, it lasted 9 - 10 years, tells me something about microsoft mice. They should give up software and stick to what they do well..
Microsoft Intellimouse Explorer 3.0A optical, wired.
2 primary button, mousewheel, 2 left side buttons which is handy for the thumb...
4 years old now, still works well, i like it.
I have the Microsoft Intellimouse (non-Explorer version) and it just died on me today. The left mouse button doesn't work properly. Sometimes a click isn't read and sometimes it "sticks" and double clicks when you press it once. I swapped in an old Dell mouse that came with my PC for tonight until I can get a new mouse tomorrow. I think I'm going to buy whatever Intellimouse they have at the store tomorrow. It's lasted for about 5 years and aside from tonight's little issue it's never had any other issues.
i have two mice plugged in. i used to use both of them, because one of them has much lower sens than the other, so it came in good handy for sniping, but the wheel on my high-sens mouse broke! so i cant play quake with that. i use it for Warcraft 3 now, cause it has the two extra buttons. handy for switching between subgroups.
that's sorta what I do when I play quake.. When I switch from anyweapon to the shaft, its lowers the mouse sense by half, and when I switch back, it raises it back to normal. Same mouse though.
Do the extra mouse buttons on mice with a ton of them (like 6), ever really get used for anything?
I could understand 3 mouse buttons getting used, but I don't know how 6 mouse buttons could effectively be used. Maybe I am wrong.
