Hey! It's StatiC, Im new to the forum. But just the forum >:-) I was introduced to quake back in 96ish, i was 15 i suppose 16, and my buddy would always be playin this one game whenever we were at his joint.This game was so,, i dont know, just the game for me, i watched and watched it for bout 3 years or sp till i got in on the action myself. Just to get this guys style down. Well that friend is Hydro Smoke to those who remember... Stress Infant , Mad vex etc. 99'-00' I finally jumped into the Quake pool myself. I was so shit. Hydro would beat me down, even tho he had a dial - up. So many late-nights, after late nights, Quake is the after party after the after party. Love ya quake! Much love to all those who put up the site keep it runnin and contribute to benefits of quakin' i know sole is definitely one of them.

I'm Zildjian from TX. I'm a drummer and thats where I get my name from.

I started playing quake around 99? On mplayer when I found the FREE game quake. Then I played QBALL with clans like QBA, and iQ with stick-y but I also played some dm with CLAN-TTC. It wasn't until I met QS-Destroyer_inc that I started playing NQ. I played CA at first with clans like in[10]sity, but quickly found my calling in DM again under clan DY. www.dyscrepency.com. I did still play ca a lot and after in10sity I joined IOV. This was when ca was really hot and tourneys were still going.

I quit for a couple of years after that and moved on to other games but imho q1 is still the most solid game out of any game out there. It has evolved into the best game ever.

I did play a little ctf at mtown but never was serious about the mod (ie clans). I remember erols, intertex etc.

I'm 22, a senior at UNT and I'm getting my BS in Economics. I have already posted a pic of me and my roomies (the gang) if you want to see what I look like. I guess that's it.

I'm spoonman. I started playing Quake in '96 shortly after its release. A friend of mine put up a server called TKDYER.TSAVO.NET in the summer of '97. It started as a DM server and that stuck for a few years. Then Runes took over. Shortly after that another server was added for CTF. Ever since I first played Quake I've been addicted to Online FPShooters. To me Quake invented the online shooter. Invented the RocketJump, the BunnyHop, the Direct Airshots and all the things that make online shooters so much fun.

This was the first 3D action game I played. Must've been back in 1995 or so (?).
Had my first P200 (major gear back then, LOL!)

I remember we used to download all the maps to 'VIS' them for 3D rendering.
The machines worked full time during the night.

The start map was changed to to have a cellar full of new teleports.
We got inside the pack-files and modified the sounds in the game too. Was fun.

I see it is posible to play it on XP :d

Quake 2 was not my cup of tea, so I played UT99 since it came out. Still do, although it gets more and more boring after 9 years with the same guys cheating the on the servers
Ah well, that's how it is.

Just joined, and let me say, coolest site ever.

Was hooked on Quake 1 MP back in the day, CTF specifically. Well actually, I guess you'd call it CTS (Capture the Scrag).

Nostalgia is strong, so I'll definitely be seeing where Q1 online stands in the near future.

Hi I'm Eric. I was playing the SW version of quake when it was released. That was like 7th grade I think. I played the SW for like 4 years before buying the full version. I was modding a lot back then; levels, models, etc.. But I found other hobbies throughout time. I'm not going to get into modding again (mmmmaybe) but am playing quake online again under teh screen name furi.

My name is Kevin, I usually went by the player name of kev. I was introduced to quake1 and quakeworld soon after it came out.

While I was playing quake1 and quakeworld, I played runes servers, team fortress, CTF and a lot of DM. Out of the three, DM is my favorite style of game play - if it moves shoot it. It was a lot easier that way instead of having to remember what team I was on.

E2M5 is my favorite map.

I went to the 3rd and 4th quakecons in mesquite, Texas. Met john romero and even got an autographed picture of Quake 2 by him. Which was kinda funny, because john left ID software before Q2 was really started.
