Quakeworld has seen better days, but back when they had it together ... those guys didn't yak away at fighting each other like we do all the time. My point with this, past incarnations of Quakeworld have shown the path to growth. You cannot have everyone fighting each other, we have to work together.

And everyone here knows NetQuake is a better experience with sub-50 ping.

No I can't play, I have like 220 ping.. I hope my dad didn't reformat my PC back home, because I'm coming back to Canada Oct 19 for a month and it had a good set up for Quake. I'm currently in Hong Kong dudeski, been living here for the past 6 months.

Yes I also miss RJ'ing.. I've been watching some old CTF demos circa 2007 - 2011 and just enjoying some good old CTF action.. albeit all the demos came from r00k so they're all CTF1 for some reason lol

I don't dig new games (other than sports titles for console against friends - ps3/360), so for me quake is the only PC game I'll ever play. I'm not even sure why so many Q1'ers got attracted to QLive and left to play it. I found that game utterly boring.

I don't know why you were given admin status, but it's clear that there are quite a few people in the history of Quake who at one point received admin and had no idea how to handle it; you being one of them. Your comments also concern me, because it shows we still have so much hostility and poison between players. Most of these DM guys you banned are the same dudes who consistently let you play with them despite being far superior players to you. I will say I don't like bans and that is why I am working on server modifications NOT to increase bans (as some people seemed convinced --- when the hell have I ever thought banning was a good idea?) but to substitute other ways to more fairly and less harshly administer servers, but more effectively.

Some people think I want to create a police state or a nanny state. It's not true.

My goal is have options to shift things from TALK to ACTION. I played 8 games of CA tonight and probably 8 more of Rocket Arena and I never had 2 seconds to talk.

Isn't it stupid that the main problem we have is talking?

A suggested feature for ProQuake is the ignore option. I'll put that in the next ProQuake client version and write up an engine tutorial on it so, say, someone using Linux and therefore has to self-compile can have it available.

Umm yeah that's definitely bullshit. I've never seen Krix have a fit. Plus he simply entered the server when Crow banned him. It's obviously not justifiable, so Crow is just straight up making shit up and ranting now. Again, CHECK SERVER LOGS.

Lets be honest. Crow, you are one of the newest players to come to Quake, and consequently one of the worst. You have no position or standing among us, other than what Wicked has given you (ridiculously, I might add). I'm not saying that admin should be skill based, but you never see Lenny or Retro for example, randomly banning people and then ranting incoherently.

Most of us have been here for easily six times as long as you have, are ten times the player you are (and hence, we contribute to games -whereas you physically cannot) and we want good things for Quake, and to get along. You're a joke and clearly mentally ill. GTFO.
