i dont care about any of this but i will state:

1. dm players do try to take players from other servers to get a game going - it happens on my ctf server all the time. I want to run qsmack just so I can ban the phrase "dm tg" heh

2. dm players pick the same players everytime so new players never get to play. I learned awhile ago that if I want a dm game, I just join a team at the outset.

3. whether stealing players is a bannable offense, i dont know. just dont play there if you dont like the server. Its up the admin to abuse or not abuse a server. If they abuse it, no one will play there and it wont matter. 90% of ca games start with someone idling.. so just go to rage (or COUGH - quake.crctf.com:26001), idle and the games will start there.

Crow, initially I just wanted an explanation of why I was banned, but when you fabricated the events that took place, that's where I took the most offense. Banning folks doesn't help the situation ever. And as far as wolv and me being just like him I'm ok with. He doesn't have a vagina and can have some fun with the best of them.

I've looked into the log's, I don't see anything even banning anyone other then kimp's ip address. I just spent 2 hours this morning at home searching for all this garbage. As far as im concerned it's over with. He said she said, she said he said crap. I've told crow not to ban any longer, but he has every right to mute someone if they decide they want to come in and talk trash on the server. Their is a log file on the server, but for some ODD reason is is not picking up any "TEXT" from player's typing or binds. But it does tell me whether or not someone has been banned. I'm not saying anyone has not been banned because the proof is in this thread. I'm saying i don't know what happened and this is my final post on the subject. Crow knows not to ban unless it is extremely called for, and he can mute who ever he wants if they decide they want to talk shit and etc.. That's why the mute command is there. Otherwise, i'm done reading up on this bs, and i won't click on this thread any longer. It's over let it go.

You server owners should really start picking your hosts more wisely. Cheaper is not always better, and most standard hosting companies do not give shell/root access. You can get a linode or a rackspace cloud VPS for very cheap. I think I paid $8.50 last month for quaketx. Pricing for VPS hosts is usually based on bandwidth, rather than a flat monthly rate.

CRMOD logs do not store what has been typed, only server messages, scores, etc. I assume it's the same with CA. You need shell access to run your proquake server binary under a physical/virtual terminal multiplexer. Personally, I use 'screen'. It has the ability to save every bit of virtual terminal history into a log file of your choice. I even set up log rotation after the log file gets a certain size. I can recall log history from day 1 of quaketx.

Unfortunately, this issue cannot be resolved because posting the logs is not an option. How distressing. =( For any future disputes, all players should note that if the dispute happens on a server that is running on a standard gaming host, there will be no evidence to support either claim.

He uses art of war. You can view the log file in the ftp. I use a dedicated server for my servers. much more access and capabilities.
