Idea for a future Qrack ....
Rook, with the rather diverse set of skins that have been made for single player, do you have any interest in allowing skins to be in quake/progs folder using the DarkPlaces naming convention?
i.e. player_0.mdl.tga or whatever
Combined with some sort of "any .pak" support the skin sets could be assembled as skinpak.pak and work with both Qrack and DarkPlaces instead of the craziness of having to make 2 pak files.
Future idea ... any pak support is actually BAD (as bad as adding pk3 support really) but I digress ...
I actually already have a proto-type of a good form of enhanced pak file support that doesn't overdo things. (Case in point, it is VERY undesireable to have any pak support. This means that unintended pak files can get read).
Right now there is no way to make a skin set that works in DarkPlaces and Qrack without a ton of renaming and then reorganization of folders. And then you have the annoyance that you have to decide what the highest number pak file is so it isn't just plug and play.
At the same time, the files must be prioritized correctly AND you can run into pak conflict.Quakeone.com - Being exactly one-half good and one-half evil has advantages. When a portal opens to the antimatter universe, my opposite is just me with a goatee.

Sure thats easy enough. Alot easier for Qrack to look for player_0.mdl.tga THEN player_0.tga THAN it would be to make 2 paks.
im just not sure why LH used 0_mdl unless he wanted to purify skins for .md3 ?
Btw, cl_teamskins NOW work on md3 models!!!
Now that I've gotten windows 7 reinstalled and everything working... I actually made a new project for MSVC 2008 Express so, its even easier for ANYONE to modify Qrack. A new release is eminent! then ill work on the quakeC project to update a clean source for modders!!Last edited by R00k; 10-09-2009, 12:36 AM.

It sounds to me like you have some program running in the background, installed something wrong, or have something in your graphics control panel set wrong. There are many, many things that could go wrong. Unless of course I find out that other people are experiencing issues with Vista/7.

right click glQrack.exe select properties then Compatibility and set to Windows XP/SP3 works for me
