Wow, thanks Icaro, sorry for not having uploaded yet the texture pack for AD_lavatomb but i'm very busy lately (anyway 99% is composed of Talisa Textures that she made for Unforgiven and Something Wicked, DKT textures, so nothing made by me, only compiled to make things easier)

Is anyone working on DOPA, by any chance? I'm about to beta-test BV's new RTlights for it and I wanted to see if there was a HD pack but I don't see any here.

DOPA uses only 2 unique textures, except for that it uses only ID1 textures
and the two textures that are normally missing arent even unique textures,
both are just simply renamed copies of plat_top1.are you curious about what all there is out there in terms of HD content for quake?

Moon[Drunk]'s add-on actually also has a light1_2.tga as well as the 3 corresponding norms. Still, it would be more handy for people to have it listed here rather than browsing the forums or replacing those themselves.♪ I'm skiiiiiiinnin' in the pain, just skiiiiiiinnin' in the pain ♪

Hi there,
By any chance, does anyone have a HD version of the complete Aerowalk and/or Basewalk textures they would be willing to share please? I have found about 4-5 textures from the QRP which make a huge difference but there's another 6-10 textures that are missing.

yeah the brick textures are mostly just edits of QRP textures so they could be made by editing QRP's normals
however there's also a lot of unusual textures in the IKblue and IKwhite texture-sets.
try looking up pics of arabian/persian (before namechange) AKA Iranian temples
if you want to get an idea of what kinda materials the textures are supposed to look like.
especially regarding the lattice and pillar textures its a good idea to look up what kinda materials they are supposed to be.

If you ever want to share your work with others you should use this setting for your normals development. As many of the regular users do not even know how to change the default value and will have too weak visuals.

No, it's a separate .pk3, I thought it would be listed here under Avanipaala Praasaada but apparently not. I don't remember where I got it. The pack is called IKWhite-Normal maps-v1.0.pk3. also in regards to using IKwhite normals to create IKblue normals: yes and no
for the basic IKblue and IKwhite texture-sets this is true, all IKwhite textures from killjoy's texture-set are recolored IKblue textures
but when it comes to the extended IKwhite and IKblue texture-sets like used in Sidhe's Dorghael Arhlannen and mapjam2,
both of those extended texture-sets have a lot of unique textures which arent shared by the other pack
especially if you get around to doing normals for the texture-sets that are used in mapjam2,
both of the extended texture-sets used in mapjam2 have a shit-load of unique textures that arent shared by the other set

guess you didnt create the entirety of the SMC either if we go by your logic.
you used models and textures made by others, so you didnt create the entire mod.

also, you know i think its important to give credits where credits are due.
some of my earlier HD texture-packs dont contain credits cuz it either slipped my mind,
i simply forgot to document where i got my resources from and which were used,
or sometimes because i used so much different resources that i forgot which ones i used
ill look some time into documenting the resources used in those older texture-packs and adding them.are you curious about what all there is out there in terms of HD content for quake?

Yes, that must be it. As you know, I'm currently beta-testing some RTlights for him and Avanipaala Praasaada is one of them, so he probably sent me the normals at the same time. They look good. If he hasn't released them yet, I won't share them without his blessing. Sorry Gwyn, you're gonna have to wait a while...
IKWhite/IKBlue/extended: I recently played the IKSPQ series while still having the IKWhite norms in \id1 and they do work. So Gwyn, if you still want to work on these, you should focus on the extended set instead. Of course you can release them, it would be great: my dropbox is almost full, even if they aren't big files (they're in jpg). Anyway they're generated with crazybump, so they're are not of very high quality but at least when you play with rtlights you clearly see the differenceMake Quake Great Again
