CTF - who's still around?

How about a link to something describing all the custom commands and impulses that 3wctf uses?

Great game last night, we got beat by a cap with 2 seconds left in the game.. it was a huge comeback.. I wish I could have stuck around

pulsegate is 7 hops from my machine, while hdz is over 12, despite the workload of the hdz box, chicago is a better game for me. Not sure why since i used to ping sub 50 at hdz!

You encountered the NAT issue in original Quake.

You must be using GLQuake or some old client.

You really should upgrade to Qrack, ProQuake 3.99 or DarkPlaces.

First, because ProQuake/Qrack/DarkPlaces are NAT fixed. Second because they have a ton of enhanced functionality and bug fixes you aren't benefiting from. Loc support for starters.

Count me in.im new to this but have been practicing at xctf.clan-rum.com only server that is reliable for me cause im having a problem with the maps install thing.speaknow.quakeone.com and dm.clanhdz.com i can get into if im there first to warp game to the first 8 levels.any time is fine with me.

If you can just play the first 8 levels, sounds like you just have the shareware version.

What .pak files do you have in your id1 directory?

i havent played a quake CTF game in about 10+ years

i would love to play. i dont like 3wave maps though ;/

i like the regular old maps like the E1 series or E4...etc

Yes, all original maps are votable. Though of those maps the most played are E4M3 and E2M2 etc... I started playing CTF on pub id levels, so I know them all, and miss playing a full server of 8 on 8 check out ctf.quakeone.com for a fun id-map style ctf server.
