Just wanted to post and say THANK YOU! for this texture pack.

For those that had issue installing. I just snagged the high quality pk3 (not the ultra) and dropped in my ID1 dir. No need to mess with dpmod, etc.

I'm running this with the latest DP engine, Remodeling Project/Plaque's pak and Yellow No 5 skins. I couldn't get the Orgo skins to look right for some reason. Not sure why since I used to run DP, full Retxturing project pak, Orgo and RP/Plaque all the time. It must be some setting I'm ignorant of.

FYI, this all runs like buttah at 1680x1050 using the settings recommended by rygel. I am on a Q6600 overclocked to ~3.2ghz, 8800gts 640mb superclocked and 2 gb RAM on a tweaked and polished XP Pro install.

If anyone can help with Orgo, I'd appreciate it, but Yellow is fine.

Some further feedback:

I agree with the "alien face" comment above. It just looks wrong-wrong-wrong, more like Mr Burns after his life-prolonging treatment than anything else.

Also, several textures are not power-of-2 sizes, which doesn't help with the loading times. I would be of the opinion that a well-behaved texture pack should have every texture as a power-of-2 size, even those that weren't so in the original WADS. Let the purists have apoplexy, they likely wouldn't be using them anyway.

I can't run it. I put the textures in quake/id1/darkplaces... and when I tried loading darkplaces it told me I needed more memory. O_O I even tried giving it 2gb. I have 2gb of physical memory and my pagefile is set to 2gb.

Heh, I have the above post all sorted out now, but on another note
requesting this to be stickied or at least have these 3 pk3 files available for download in the darkplaces pk3 section

I could make one but the most you would get is 30kbs
would take you 26-some hours if you got 30kbs constant

try what i do
1- get textue pack downloading
2- leave computer running and sleep
3- wake up in about 3 hours and do the d/l finishing rituals
4- seek more stuff to d/l
