It's easy for YOU to understand because you still have access to it. You can't put yourself in the shoes of those that don't have access to the private forum. It was a good discussion the community had. The fact that vis actually apologized made it even better to keep out in the public. Not because an admin admittedly made a mistake but because it shows that admins CAN make mistakes.

These posts aren't about pointing out all the flaws of the admins and then laughing at them. They are MY effort to help steer the community in the right direction.

In this case Admins need to realize they can't go off muting and banning people just because they (the admin) are in a bad mood.

Even though muting is a very soft action, its equally if not more harmful than banning. What good is playing a team game with other players if you are unable to communicate.

Without admins spats come up, trash talk ensues, etc.. but we always have a way of working things out. You admins aren't letting the natural flow play out. You intervene too early.

Who cares if it turns into a truck thread or FFFFFFFFFUUUUUU-. The mood was tense and negative, maybe people would want to turn it into a positive one by posting funny images. WHO CARES.

Apparently quakeone.com has its own meme with trucks. I appreciate its uniqueness.

Just because the main point of the thread ended does not warrant closing of the thread. Conversations end ALL THE TIME. Why aren't all the other threads locked? It doesn't make sense. Your point that the discussion ended was reason to lock the thread is nonsense.

The post became more than just drama. It became progress which you denied the community.

It is a negative thing when you deny the community of progress earned as a community.

This doesn't make you a quake patriot, this makes you an issue. And as soon as I muted you, I told you I'd be looking forward to your post on the forums, as you are predictably crying about every administration move out there

You repeatedly attack, where, I simply respond.
First of all, I joined the server with smack talk already ensuing. Then, I proceded to smack you as you were absolutely raping me 7-1 in CAx which is unheard of.

You smacked back every time, so don't even pull that sh**. Neither of us said anything offensive, just typical smack talk.

Not only do you have to rape me, you smack talk me down, then when I say "Frenzy's about to get his first MVP." you mute me.

The issue here is you and your double standard. Perhaps you are too blind to see it.

Jeeze, what forums do you guys post on?

I'd hate to see any one of you involved in a political discussion. At the first sign of disagreement do you go running with your hand-earmuffs on?

Let us discuss things and let the community decide when a topic is dead. If you don't want to take part in the discussion just don't reply.

No, my issue at the server was your words vs my words, where as mine weren't to the level of yours.

Vis may have apologized, but he wasn't wrong. Weather you got a mute or a kick doesn't matter, perhaps in the future you'll be lucky that CAx offers a mute option instead of a kick. And I'm not 100% sure, but I think with mute you can still team talk. If not, I'll talk to R00k about fixing that.

And for the record, I muted you way after you started your jabbering nonsense about mvp's and such. You are on a PATH to push buttons on admins and such, however, when the button's are pushed and buttons work, maybe you should just stop pushing those buttons.

I didn't block anything from the community except another "admin abuse" thread because you didn't get your way. This wasn't any real progress at all. I used to post them all the time like you. Nor is what I did a personal attack on you Magnus. We rarely have any type of issue in game.

More often than not I joke back with you.

Have a nice day Magnus. I am washing my hands of this thread as well.

Here is an example where I can prove you're wrong.

Off the top of my head, here are some of the things I was saying:
                MVP: SO WHAT
                I: AM ABOUT TO MVP
I: AM THE MVP SO WHAT
MVP: OMG WTF (after you killed me)
MVP: OMG BS (after you killed me)
MVP: MEET ME OS (toward frenzy)
MVP: FRENZY ABOUT TO GET HIS FIRST MVP

                You:
                Frenzy: STFU NEWB
Frenzy: Sorry for the delay, had to kill your teammate.
There was a bunch more in there but I can't remember the exact wording so I don't want to misquote you.

So you admit you got tired of the MVP talk. Welcome to CAx buddy. Even MINDZ user title is about MVP'ing.

You smack talked back but couldn't handle it and muted.

You were clearly in the wrong Frenzy.

That other thread should also be moved back. Let the community decide their own opinions if they wish to read it.

And lastly, as I've said before, every time I make one of these threads someone comes out of the word work to support me. They may not have the courage to deal with this type of crap you see here.

                An example of the crap:
Authentic is the reason Vis accidentally banned me. Authentic and I were having a discussion in-game about kimp. Vis acted on me and not Authentic. Then you see Authentic here trying to strut his chest.

Another example is people that do not even play on the servers, etc.. trying to voice opinions regarding incidents.

Its easy for people to just group together to gang up on someone.

Every time I make one of these threads someone new comes out. They might tell me a story of how they saw the incident in question, or they've either seen other incidents similar or been involved. This tells me what I'm doing is right, and I'm not going to stop.

FYI I used to call out dreadful ALL THE TIME on speak back in the day for admin abuse. I'd see people get mistreated left and right. For a year or so I'd rag on him every time I saw him in game until eventually we cleared the air. I'll defend others just as much as I'll defend myself.

To finish this thread I'd like to make this statement

Originally posted by Frenzy View Post

According to Frenzy, talking about MVP's is now a mutable offense. Watch out everyone who plays CAx!

I personally find it hard to see the "good" that comes to the community by these threads Magnus. They're continually one person talking about his unhappiness with the admin. Why aren't there others with concerns on the same issue you talk about. I only see posts from one other here in this thread agreeing. If you had looked over all of other threads there are few agreeing with the stance.
I just don't see the need to air this on the forum when it appears to be a personal issue not needing so much light or attention.
                  Regards

                    A) this community isn't politics. Its a game, a cult-followed underground, nearly dead game.
                    2) The community that represents it isn't a democracy. It's a monarchy. The one(s) that pay(s) the bills make(s) the rules. Those rules are to be followed by the masses that get their free entertainment out of the community and/or game.
                    D) this game and the community that follows it are not governed by the united states constitution. You don't get the "right" to talk. If the almighty powers that be deem you worthy, they may offer you the "privilege" to talk. If they soon after deem you unworthy, they can revoke that privilege at their will.

This is how the internet works. This is how it will always be. No amount of complaining, protesting, or revolting will change it. If you are lucky, you'll find a decent community run by decent people such as this one that you seem to take too far for granted.

I think they should post a list of these rules up on the main page so we would all know them.

Those are the rules of the internet, my ninja friend. It is cold, it is harsh, it is unforgiving. It is the REAL world, not the warm comfortable blanket that a democratic government offers.

DK, Anyone who's been on a forum for a few years knows those rules. Most Q1'ers have been involved in some form of online community for 15+ years.

You may want others to dictate how your future should play out.

Not all of us feel the same way. Some of us would like to help mold our future and those thing that affect our future. Think of it as voting for your politicians.

Actually, MVP so what? is a term coined by Magnus himself. I'm sure someone will smack me and tell me im wrong though. I just know its apart of the mod,and im pretty sure this would have faired better being handled in PM's to any admin. In reality, it beind handled this way only ensures nothing happens....other than expected humiliation in front of other people.

In the end, its just US vs THEM. Anyone of the community members is in the US category, fyi. Including Magnus. Time is our biggest enemy, and this post gets no more of mine

I don't want anyone dictating my "future". This GAME, however, I haver no qualms about handing the reigns over to the ones in charge. I have no qualms about this because I realized long ago that I have no choice in the matter.

EDIT: I do have a choice in the matter, but I don't feel like creating a new Quake community when I really don't see anything wrong with this one.
