Magnus, as unfortunate as it is that this moderating system does bother you so much with no solution that would favor your liking in sight, this is a necessity that we cant do without. (not you being "bothered", i mean you're problem with the moderating). Maybe you keep on playing at times that a certain admin is on, or maybe you genuinely have some kind of problem with said person that you may not even be aware of, cause you keep denying you have a problem with said person. I don't know for sure what fuels all this, no one else really does this, well, since I've joined. I mean its never gotten anyone this worked up about an admin before, I trust their decisions. Admins don't make em often, only when they're hard to make. It kinda seems this problem is almost personal.
I'm sure almost every admin would have done the same, no ?
I don't provoke shit online in play, and nothing ever happens to me from admins...
Unless you're being "targeted", then you're shit outta luck brah...

Well, I havent played with you yet that I can say, so I can't really say what you are like in real time for now. And your definition of "MVP talk" really cant hold weight with me just yet.
Because I know for sure that there is a fine line that can easily be crossed when trash talking, if I'm not mistaken and that is what we've been getting at here for 7 pages is indeed "MVP talk". After taking a second and looking at the first post again I can now remember what the details were... This is the reason it just seems "personal" to me now, as if a line was crossed, some shits just off limits.
I wasn't there, but from what I see here, I'd say u are a lil bit kinda capable of going overboard slightly, no offense meant.

In fact, I'm thinking of being scarce for a week and half or so to exclusively devote my energy exclusively to wrapping up the engine stuff I have been working on.

The schedule is a bit tight and I think I browse the forum maybe 15 minutes at a time 4 times a day and I think that extra hour of focus is probably going to be needed to wrap up.

There is no imaginary problem. It's a real problem with no real solutions... that doesn't make it imaginary. It's just not going to go away, that's the way we are as humans.

Let's say you have a real problem with no real solutions. Then, by definition, the "real problem" isn't actually a problem (all problems have a solution. If it doesn't have a solution, it can't be a problem), but a feature of the landscape.

Humans are imperfect. They fight, bicker, argue ... the difference between how you and I think is this ...

It is just a communications gap.

As an example, Magnus and I are completely on the same page (even if he does not know this). I completely understand his point of view. In fact, you and I are completely on the same page. And if you think about it further detail, it isn't hard to realize that most of us are, in fact, on the same page.

We have a different perspective to view that page. We have a different set of information, perspective, knowledge, experience resulting in a different way to perceive the same events. The above isn't actually any kind of problem, it is a communications gap. Even the Frenzy and Magnus stuff in this thread is a communications gap.

To compare it to something else: in economics there is something called "structural unemployment". Even in a theoretically perfect world with infinite supply and infinite demand, there is actually constant unemployment due to system "wave" that prevents equilibrium from occurring instantly (called "economic friction").

The gap that, for example, you and I have is that I have greater understanding of the intermediate future because I get to more directly participate in it than most others, not because I am special or anything but because I've been expending energy over the years to complete a puzzle in private. Communication has an inefficiency factor, and in fact I've added that factor into my equation too, hehe (i.e. people don't bug you or put pressure on you to release something that they really don't understand nor know. Unlike, say, last year when I did 26 updates of ProQuake and had people impatiently saying "when will it do x" or "when will bug y be fixed".)

Inefficiency isn't a problem. It is a feature of life, whether wanted or not, that always exists. Call it part of the landscape.

But it is quite normal for every teenager to have an insane preoccupation with inefficiency. This is precisely why every batch of teenagers have their own unique ideas on "what is wrong with the world" and "how can it be fixed".

It is normal, desired and part of human culture.

And if you read this thread you'll see that Frenzy can't even defend his reasoning for MVP talk being a mutable offense. Perhaps he was having a bad day. He knows what he did was uncalled for and has conveniently left this thread.
