    Darkplaces uses a different way for the texture naming.
    Try renaming the textures to:
    flame.mdl_0.png
    and
    flame2.mdl_0.png

    and make sure they are in the progs folder.

      Thanks for sharing this. I was actually missing the explosive barrel textures from the objects.pk3
      Used and I did a quick model for it as the standard rectangle just wasn't cutting it anymore. Uses the texture too. Hopefully will be released soon

          There is, I think an error on the \scripts\reforged.shader file that causes the tarbaby (Spawn) not to be skinned, it's easily fixed, though.
          Line 216 of said file
          change
          map progs/tarbabyh.mdl_0.tga
          to
          map progs/tarbaby.mdl_0.tga

                    Yes, a skybox is a real box with 6 sides.
                    Each side has a texture. The box is static.

                    Pros:
                    Can be any texture you want, therefore much more beautiful
                    Cons:
                    Its static (Not moving)

                        QRP-NormalMaps link is broken. I found a mirror here.

                        It's a large download though, and I'm not sure what this is. Is there a description for it?

                          It's normal maps for the textures in Quake. Similar to "Bumpmaps" just better.

                              HEY!
                              let's create a project for 2011!


                              We can see that, nowadays, we have all the quake1 contents in High Definition. Monsters (reforged), Textures (QRP and Rygel), Normals, Weapons, Skies, objects....

                              In this thread i created my "vision of quake" in PK3 packages but... there are many variations! So...

                              Why dont create an installer executable that finds the quake1 folder and automatically installs packages? It may be come with a menu with many choices (example: QRP or RYGEL textures; new models weapons or only new skins, highpoly monsters or Reforged skins... and so on. I think that will bring Quake to more accurate user-customization!
                              I cant use programming languages (i'm a donkey in C#) but i think that somebody can do it. We have the material already.
                              We need only a powerful installer tool!

                              (and hopefully all opensource content, to develop it for free!)

                                i think 7-zip can make installers but im not sure, at all as i never had to make one

                                i think hondo bondo uses it (7-zip) for sdq because all his installetrs have a [7z] symbol for the image

                                also baker makes them alot so he will possibly know,,.;;.,''/
