Classes:

There are 9 different classes in TFC. Each class with its own characteristics and weapons. Different classes perform different functions, some are powerful and heavily armored while others are fast and lightly armoured. Know what class to use in certain situations is a key factor in playing TFC.

This Page will inform you of the different classes strengths, weaknesses, abilities and weapons.

Demoman:

 

Class Name:

Demoman
Description: Medium armoured offensive/defensive class. Can be used to blow strategic entrances on certain maps.
Strengths:
  • Relatively mobile (can perform pipe bomb jumps)
  • Powerfull Arsenal
  • Good at Defense/Offense
Weaknesses:
  • Not good at long distance combat.
  • Grenade launcher, difficult to aim
Secondary Grenade: Mirv Grenade
Tips / Special Weapons: Grenade Jump, Grenade Launcher

 

Engineer:

 

Class Name:

Engineer
Description: One of the most unique defensive classes. Engineers rely on a second party weapon, the Sentry Gun to defend their base. They are also equiped with the deadly EMP grenade.
Strengths:
  • Ability to build Sentry Gun (SG)
  • Equiped with emp's
  • Ability to build Dispensor
  • Ability to replenish teammates armor.
Weaknesses:
  • Lightly Armoured
  • Weaponary lacks power
  • Have to stay near their SG, to refill ammo and perform repairs.
Secondary Grenade: EMP grenade
Tips / Special Weapons: Sentry Gun

 

Heavy Weapons Guy:

 

Class Name:

HW Guy
Description:

The tank on legs.........

HW guys are the most heavily armoured class in TFC, this makes them a favourite among the newer players. Their weaponary includes the Uber powerfull AutoCannon.

Strengths:
  • Plenty of Armour
  • Not easily knocked around by grenades / rockets.
  • Autocannon
Weaknesses:
  • Slow.
  • Too slow to retreat while under attack.
  • Slows down even more while firing AC
  • Cannot grenade jump
Secondary Grenade: Mirv Grenade.
Tips / Special Weapons: Auto Cannon.

 

Medic:

 

Class Name:

Medic
Description: Medics are most peoples first choice when going for the enemy flag. They are stronger than the scout but faster than the other remaining classes. They have the ability to heal teammates as well as infect enemys. Once an enemy is infected it is easy for his infection to spread among his teamates.
Strengths:
  • Good Speed
  • Healing teammates/ Infecting enemys.
  • Has enough armour for grenade jumps.
  • Minimal effect by conc grenades
Weaknesses:
  • Difficult weapons to master.
Secondary Grenade: Concussion Grenade.
Tips / Special Weapons: Conc Jumps, Medikit

 

Pyro:

 

Class Name:

Pyro
Description: The Pyro is a lightly armoured class, It takes a lot of practice to become good at the pyro due to his lack of firepower (excuse the pun).
Strengths:
  • Fast moving
  • Secondary grenades cause wide spread damage
  • Flame Thrower impares victims vision
Weaknesses:
  • Lightly Armoured
  • Easily affected by EMP's
  • Flame Thrower isn't easy to use
Secondary Grenade: Napalm Grenade
Tips / Special Weapons: Flame Thrower. , Pyro Jumps

 

Scout:

 

Class Name:

Scout

Description:

The Fastest Class in the game, Scouts are designed for one thing only, capping the flag. They are no good on defense as they have very little armour / Arsenal . This is a difficult class to play so if you're new to the game try the other classes first.

Strengths:
  • Fastest Class
  • Given 3 Concussion Grenades on respawn
Weaknesses:
  • VERY little armour, dies easily
  • No damaging weapons
  • Highly effected by conc grenades.
  • Ligh weight class / can be bounced around by grenades / rockets easily.
Secondary grenade: Concussion Grenade
Tips: Conc Jump

 

Sniper:

 

Class Name:

Sniper
Description: A lightly armoured defensive class. Usually played by players with low pings (its difficult sniping with a high ping), not good at close range but excellent at killing from a distance.
Strengths:
  • Long range kills.
  • One shot kills.
  • Reasonably Fast moving
Weaknesses:
  • Easy to kill
  • Not good for close range attacks
  • No secondary grenades
Secondary Grenade: None
Tips / Special Weapons: Sniper Rifle

 

Soldier:

 

Class Name:

Soldier
Description: Heavily armoured offensive/defensive class. Good general all rounder.
Strengths:
  • Plenty of Armour (200)
  • Strong Arsenal
  • Good at Defense/Offense
  • Mobile (rocket / grenade jump capable)
Weaknesses:
  • Slow
  • Slow Reload (rocket launcher)
  • Can only shoot 4 rockets before reloading
Secondary Grenade: Nail Grenade
Tips / Special Weapons: Rocket Jumping, Grenade Jumping, Rocket Launcher

 

Spy:

 

Class Name:

Spy
Description:

Spies can be used in a variety of ways, from finding and destroying Sentry Guns to killing pesky snipers. To use this class properly you should learn to 'act' while disguised, as to not attract attention.

Strengths:
  • Ability to disguise
  • Knife kills
  • Can be used to find enemy sentry guns
  • Not targeted by enemy sentry guns (while disguised)
  • Can feign death
Weaknesses:
  • Not heavily armoured
  • Weapons are slightly weak
Secondary Grenade: Gas Grenade
Tips / Special Weapons: Dart Gun
