CTF League

When are the games going to be played. Every time in the past tourny games were always played Sunday evenings and unfortunately I'm not as young as I used to be so I have to go to sleep so I can go to work on Monday morning lol.

I signed up as an observer right now, and depending on when the games will be played I will join and participate.

On a side note, I'm running qstat on QuakeOne for the server browser. Is there something more or extra I can run to log stats? If someone is familiar and willing to walk me through it I can set up a stat logger?

Disco, our plan so far is to organize the teams in three tiers ( we changed from two tiers, because now we are moving the league to 3 v 3). One player from each tier will be put on each team. The tiers will be according to skill level (I'm going to talk to frenzy about this, but I'm going to rank the players 1 through however many we have sign up and also have frenzy and rook). I'm probably consult a couple others on the list, but once we come to a general consensus, then we're going to randomly generate these teams( I guess frenzy has a way of randomly doing this). The maps are going to be dictated by the participants, although I believe a lot of the maps that are going to be included are already known (ctf 1, ctf 4 , ctf 5, ctf 8, ctf2m3, ctf2m8, red alert, pig factory, e4m3). Each week three maps will be submitted, take for example the first week we say ctf 1, ctf 4 , ctf 5 are the three maps. Each team gets to choose the map out of those three that they want to play and after those 2 games if a tiebreaker is needed the league will already predetermine the tiebreaker.

Solecard, I'm hoping that a lot of the matches can be played earlier on Sundays and Saturdays. I want this to be inclusive for anyone who wants to play. I think the key to this is that we are all able to easily communicate with each other, so that a time frame that works for all six players participating in the match can be determined.

Yes sir, the message is still sent, it just shows it to you This program is kind of oldschool, so that's why. No worries though, increased security + oldschool seems to workout fine

and Frenzy, I couldnt tell what map ctf3m1 is from your image, but isn't that Remix (like ctf1). I think ctf2m2 (warzone) and ctf3m9 (cheatcc) should be added too.

cd - have rook and frenzy with you while you are deciding the teams. if we have random selection it might screw up the teams because there are players in the first tier that are much stronger than the other first tiers, so you should pick a strong second tier to go with the weak first tier. i'm sure you already have that figured. if you need more help with the teams let me know.
