Brotherhood of Soldiers flies past CompWorld Frag Force
8/20/99, AoW, Rock2
Round One: 12-0
Round Two: 17-2
Final Score: 29-2

Well round 1 started off on the good old Teamplay.net server where pings were slightly in our favor as we had some Cali's playing. Round 1 started extremely fast and thanks to our concing skills the assault came from above. We had their flag in a matter of seconds and once again thanks to that wonderful gren it got to the chamber equaly as fast. It was this attack that prompted CWFF to go mostly D allowing ours to get by without a flag touch. For the rest of the round it was just constant pressure, medics flying everywhere, and when the dust settled and the round ended, we had 180.

Round2 was played on the Comp World server where the ping advatage was now theirs. Once again we started it off quick however they were incontent with not capping the flag so they took off a bit of the D and put on more offencive pressure. While our flying men kept the caps coming our defence let 2 caps by before quickly adapting to the situation and holding down the key for the rest of the match.

Overall it was a great match and we would like to thank CWFF for being such great guys and playing with such sportsmanship.

Digital Assassins squeeze past clan Maylstryx
8/19/99, OGL Ladder, Fortsaken and Canalzone
Round One: 1-0
Round Two: 171-167

Wow, what a match. The first round was played on the DA server with the map being Fortsaken. Both teams started off attacking the opposing team's base with little effect. DA formed one formidable attack and managed to sneak the flag out of the cM base after many touches. About 20 minutes into the map, cM formed an offensive surge of their own, grabbing our flag and ducking down the elevator shaft, only to be met by the rest of the DA squad. The flag was dropped and DA stood it's ground and took the map 10-0.

The second map was Canal Zone 2, on the cM server. The map started out with DA capping all of the CPs and running out to an early advantage. Then something very strange happened. The cM server seemed to seize up tighter than a frog's ass. virtually everyone was affected by this temporary server seizure. All but 2 or 3 DA members had to quit and reconnect, as well as some of the cM members. After the dust settled on that little catastrophy, cM had captured all the CPs and were one cap away from another full capture. DA fought back from a 30-point deficit, capping all the CPs twice. With only minutes left in the match, cM launched a great capping surge, capturing all the CPs and brought themselves back to within 4 points when the map ended. Whew.

It was a great match. Our hats go off to cM for their great sportsmanship. It's always good to see a squad who are full of good guys. Thanks for the match, cM!

U Suck beats Total Harmonic Destruction
8/19/99, OGL Ladder, 2forts - Canalzone - Well
Round One: 6-4
Round Two: 108-178
Final Score: 5-2

---------
From Total Harmonic Destruction:

Can you say pressure packed? Man was this battle incredibly intense!

Round 1 (2fort) started on their server. USuck's O got a quick cap. Our O got their flag right after and pushed their way out of the spiral. The match was tight for a good 10 minutes where we managed to get another cap. US then pushed and tied the match. Unfortunately right around then we lost a player on our D due to connection problems (OUCH!). Man did they ever make the most of that...good job US. We managed to get someone in but it was too late, US was pouring in and did a great job at never letting us get back on our feet. Final score: 60-40 in favor of US.

Round 2 (cz2) was on our server and they again got off to a quick start capturing all 5 CP's. THD never lost confidence knowing this map is one of our favorites. For a good 10 minutes it was a standstill. THD finally got all 5 CP's and was back in it and in the lead. There was some real intense fragging for CP's. Then with about 5 minutes remaining THD got all 5 CP's again and kept the pressure on until the end to take the win. Final score: 178-108 in favor of THD.

Round 3 (well) was back on their server. US was off like a rocket and had 2 scouts coming in our base while we were just leaving! Fortunately our defenders were able to stop them. THD got the 1st cap and things were tight for sometime, but US managed to get 2 caps. Then our D got sliced and diced after another D player was lost to connection problems. US did great at bringing spies and medics in by the bundle and capped a few more times. Final score: 50-20 in favor of US.

Thank you US for a great fight and for your great sportsmanship. We look forward to a rematch.

BlackSun gives a status report of their match with ZB
8/19/99, OGL Ladder, 2forts - Darkness - Well
Round One: 1-2
Round Two: 20-14
Round Three: 6-6

I knew a lot of people were waiting on the results of this one and I thought I would add a quick blurp. Yes, we will be going to a round 4, sometime next week. It has been a great battle against a great clan, but yet the battle must go on I will give a full brief on all 4 rounds after the last one is done, until then, "May the wind be at your backside and not from you backside." :)

Cogent Alliance tackles Team Fusion
8/19/99, OGL Ladder, 2forts and Fortsaken
Round One: 8-3
Round Two: 8-0

Well, the game started on promptly and without any serious issues. We started mixing it up extremely quickly with a massive 5 man scout rush from TF. Eventually our DEF settled in and starting doing an amazing job of holding the fort down, however TF still managed to squeak out 3 caps. The only rough period was when we were accused of cheating cuz we capped and grabbed the flag within a second or 2 of each other--well that and all the mm1 which came after that crazy attempt to rile us.

The 2nd round started slightly delayed due to lag issues. However, we were a determined to put a hurting on them for accusing us of cheating, and so kept hammering them with our OFF. When the dust settled, we had won with a comfortable margin of victory. Also, I must say that this round was much friendlier with no crazy accusations or mm1...

Cybertron Warriors soften Bad Motha F*ckas
8/17/99, OGL Ladder, Well and 2forts
Round One: 7-0
Round Two: 9-0

Well What Can I say this match was a big mess from Clan BMF. First they accussed us that Team kill was cheating and they were using MM1 messaging the whole match. The 1rst round started off with the CW offensive cranking it up fast with 4 straight caps back to back never giving BMF to set up a solid Defense followed by 3 more caps to end it 7-0 favor of CW. Defense was excellent and pitched the shut out with only one touch. Then we took a 10 minute break, BMF did not show up until 25 minutes later. Then We stared round 2 they were short one player and was no sure whether he would come back So we started the match after a few nice choice words of immaturity by BMF they apperantly accused us of cheating once again by using a skin cheat. We automattically stopped the match all of our players went outside it didnt look like no cheats to us! Maybe next time say some thin like a spy went changed skins and color while he had the flag = ) ! Well then came more nice colorful words of BMF players and some of them dropped apperantly this clan has been having troubles of late. There first person to drop was there leader great leadership BMF. I would like to thank all whopping 4 players that decided to stay and be man enough to accept a loss. Good luck BMF! Galvatron[-CW-]

Coup de Grace instructs Crowbar Swinging Idiots
8/17/99, Top 10, Fortsaken
Round One: 0-0
Round Two: 3-0
Final Score: 3-0

A good match overall, however, we had some connection problems towards the end of roun1. About half the CSI team dropped, and could not reconnect. We agreed to call it the end of round1 and a score of 0-0. Round2 was better overall, most people connected ok, and pings were reasonable. CdG managed to pull out three captures. -[CdG]Barker

Total Harmonic Destruction traps WOLF
8/17/99, Top 10, Fortsaken
Round One: 4-0
Round Two: 6-0
Final Score: 10-0

At last we meet for the first time...errr...the second time in 24 hours! Round 1 was on WOLF's primary server. The game was delayed for about 40 minutes while WOLF tried to scrape together 8 guys. They got 7 and we started fragging. THD sent a strong rush on the WOLF base, but was turned away time and time again. WOLF decided to go almost all D to try and keep the game close. About 10 minutes into the match Buckeye escaped flag in hand thanks to a ton of help from his teammates. This seemed to break the WOLF D as THD then continued on to cap 3 more times. Round 1 ended 4-0 for THD.

Round 2 moved to THD's Go Bucks TFC server. This match got under way quickly. We were surprised to find WOLF almost entirely on D again. They had 7 or 8 guys on D the whole second round. Needless to say we had a lot of trouble capping early. Finally some crafty spy work by Daz brought home a few caps. We were up about 3 or 4 when a few of WOLF's guys dropped. They were short most of the rest of the way. I think Blashy may have died of boredom playing D for us. Final for round 2 was 6- 0 in favor of THD.

Thanks to WOLF for a good game. We wish it could have been under better circumstances.

Ride The Lightning shocks Meilleurs Assassins du Québec
8/17/99, Top 10, Fortsaken
Round One: 2-0
Round Two: 4-0
Final Score: 6-0

First off let me say we appreciate the fine game put forth by MaQ and wish them best of luck in the future. The first match started out with a quick cap to put us up and to put pressure on the MaQ offense. We then held a strong defensive stand fending off a hellaciouse series of assaults put forth by MaQ. As they slowly allocated more players to their offense our flag runners crept in and capped 1 more flag to solidify the win. A great display of defensive prowess put forth by both squads. The second match opened up with MaQ imploring a speed offensive with scouts. Fortunately we were able to intercept them before they could strike early. Our first cap came after a grueling series of touches and advancements. It was soon followed by a second. After that the defenses once again held strong till the very end when MaQ was forced to increase their offensive rush. During this time we pulled out the last of our scores. Once again thank you to MaQ for a fine game, It was unfortante that we were not able to play on a server more suitable for MaQ, their pings were double ours and I'm sure they would have faired better under different circumstances. Best of Luck in your future matches.

And from Meilleurs Assassins du Québec

We start with 8 players in both teams. But MaQ seen to have a big lag trouble, we start the game with 2X de average ping of the RTL :( Since we dont have server to offer , we play anyways.

Game start like predict with a rush attack (scout/medic/pyro)from RTL. I understand our trouble when I was running the pyro without killing him. With too much lag RTL cap the flag very easly on there 1st try !!

Game slow down after that, MaQ touch the flag 1 time during the first round , but we did not cap it. RTL touch and cap another time before the end. 0-20 RTL.

MaQ Start the 2nd round with an 2D-6A formation, we push back the 1st wave this time. RTL score 2 time in the first 15 minutes, with a 90% sure lost it was almost free for all in MaQ team, till the end. RTL cap another 2 times. And shootout MaQ 6-0. I think it would be another match with a good ping for MaQ teams. Anyways RTL won, and this is the only part we will remember ;)

Good game RTL

U Suck barrel rolls Agression Rangers
8/16/99, STA, 2forts
Round One: 3-1
Round Two: 5-0
Final Score: 8-1

We started on AR's server and right at the start they had our flag up the spiral before any of our defense knew what was going on. Our offense was working there flag slowly home the 1st 1/2 of the game while AR stayed back with a cap lead and i think dropped to a more defense strategy. But 1/2 threw the round our offense started to put the barrel roll on them and had the flag moving just fine.....2nd round we too AR to our home server and start off right away with some flag movement but by 1/2 time AR's offense was almost non-existent and they had a base and bridge full of demomen trying to what i dunno i think there 1st game strategy was much better :). Army of Darkness zaps Ride The Lightning
8/16/99, OGL Ladder, 2forts and Well
Round One: 4-0
Round Two: 7-0

After some disagreements both teams agreed to play on the neutral server of Testmonkeys Monkey Den II. Pings were good all the way around, yet some RTL players griped about it and did not show what I would call respect to our humble host the Monkey_King. He was nice enough to set up his excellent server for our match and was treated like trash from my view.

Rd.1 got off on the map 2fort, {AOD} started off to a really slow start, but then caught fire during mid-match and with some great help from our demos, we broke through the tough RTL defense 4 times to cap. Intp the other fort, where our D was based. I believe the only thing RTL could manage from of our solid D were flag touches...never leaving our room. Maj.GHOB gets major props for this match as he put up an unbelievable 32-1 score on our Defense, he was a brick wall. {AOD} won 4-0.

Onto Rd2. We agreed to take a short 10 minute break, but we had to show our patience as RTL failed to show back up for at least 20-25 mins when they did finally the match could start. Once again our offense lead the chase and capped very quickly and we never looked back. The constant pressure on their D was too much and we pulled off 7 caps in the process. Props to our D once again as they didn't even allow RTL to break the flag out of its room.

I must say that it was a very good match but about only half of RTL's players were good sports the other half griped way too much. It is quite sad that one of their leaders was the one complaining most the time...what a leader does, his team is sure to follow.
GG to RTL.

San Dawgs bite Talking Goats
8/16/99, STA, 2forts
Round One: 1-1
Round Two: 2-0
Final Score: 3-1

Started out tough. Neither server worked good for the other team. TG found another server that was good for everyone. We played both maps on there. It was very hard fought. D was very strong on both teams. First map saw an early TG lead. SD soon scored afterwards. The rest of the map was a stalemate. The second time around SD got the first score. TG was scoreless through the end with another SD cap in the final few minutes.

--------
And from Talking Goats:

First of all, Did everybody else have Internet Problems during their matches. We had to try 3 servers before we got one that was even playable. We tried the Goat's DarkZone Server and San Dawg's Server but neither were playable. We then Tried the Goat's Three Foot Rope Server and it worked alright for both clans. Latencies were about average for both clans so we played both rounds there.

Round One was a Defensive battle. Our Great Engineering Team of Gungadin and Thez kept our D rock solid with SD only getting One Cap. Unfortunately for us, their Defence did the same to our Offence.

Round Two was the same deal with our Gungadin and Thez holding down the fort. We ran into an issue as our Communication guy on D, Remarcable was lagging big time up over 1000 (although they had guys hitting over 1000 too) With our Communicator down our D had a hard time but still kept them to 1 cap. Our Offence could not crack their very well laid our D. When time started to wind down we moved to a 5 then 6 man D and they were able to get one more cap out of us.

The San Dawgs are a clan to watch out for. And again it is nice to play against a clan with good sportsmanship and such.

Black Sun softens Bad Motha F*ckas
8/16/99, STA, 2forts
Round One: 6-0
Round Two: 10-2
Final Score: 16-2

Well this match was plagued with problems. Before it was all said and done, we had used 3 diferent servers to play the match on. Round 1 started on BlackSun TFC server, latency was pretty much the same for both clans, HIGH. But the match still went on. Both clans started out quick, yet BMF just couldn't get passed our Defense. They managed several touchs, only to leave the flag in our basement. Our offense managed to get in and disrupt thier defense and pull out several caps.

Before round 2 started, we attempted to switch to BlackSun TFC Server 2, but we couldn't get it running right. So then we went to server number 3 in a totaly different state and the lag just wouldn't leave us. Again the match started, but just to make it more interesting and cause some more problems, about 10 minutes into the match, the server reset. So both clans agreed to just restart the second round. Right before prematch ended BMF lost one of their members and as the match continued they lost more and more, ending with only 5 members.

We thank BMF for being cool about everything that was going on. It just seemed we couldn't get anything going right. They still played which showed to us that they where not willing to give up. We wish them well in there next matchs and hope their next match isn't as bad as this one was.

30+ goes blue against RED RULEZ
8/16/99, STA, 2forts
Round One: 14-0
Round Two: Forfeit

Game 1: 2fort on 30+ Match server. Well to start we knew it was going to be a hard game for RR. Our average latency was about 200 theirs was 400. We began with a strong offense and hoping our D could hold them off till we got a cap. Medics and scouts flying from battlement to battlement. The first cap started about two minutes into the game and just didn't stop. RR played a good game and to their credit they kept the D cranked up to a high degree througout the match. Constantly changing between HW, Eng, and soldiers to slow us down.

Game 2: RR forfeits game

Total Harmonic Destruction sings for WOLF
8/16/99, STA, 2forts
Round One: 7-2
Round Two: 5-1
Final Score: 12-3

Round 1 started on WOLF's backup server. Pings were a little high for both clans but basically even. THD busted out of the gates and Buckeye grabbed a quick cap. Not to be outdone WOLF fought back and snuck out 2 on us to take the lead. The THD defense became enraged (j/k) and hunkered down. The THD offense pressed on determined not to lose round 1. A few sneaky moves and several conc jumps later they had racked up 6 more caps. The THD offense shut out WOLF for the remainder of the map. Final score from round 1 was 7 to 2 in THD's favor.

Round 2 moved to THD's server, but many problems were had trying to get the settings right. Frustrated we headed back to WOLF's server. Round 2 started off with Buckeye grabbing 2 quick caps followed shortly by a few by Dm@n2b. Somewhere in the mix WOLF snuck 1 out on our defense. Round 2 ended 5 to 1 in favor of THD.

Our gratitude goes out to WOLF for their excellent sportsmenship and for their not saying 1 word about the server problems. We look forward to our match with them tomorrow in Top 10. GG WOLF.

Cogent Alliance comes back big against Clan-Destine
8/16/99, STA, 2forts
Round One: 2-7
Round Two: 7-1
Final Score: 9-8

Let's just say this was what playing TFC is all about. We've played C-D in matches before and it was always close, so we were unsure about the outcome. We got off to a timely start on their server first, pings were bad for a few key players but we were determined to win anyways.. and procceded to get stomped on the first round.

We had a mid-game pep talk by |CA|Abaddon and were more determined than ever to come out victorious. We got off to a good start and kept coming at them non-stop. Things got real dicey about mid-match when we lost track of the time and were concerned we would run out... but we managed to squeak a win in by one cap.

C-D are a class act, and we thank them for the kick-ass evening of TFC, and look forward to the rematch!

Kindred learns the map against 100k.devil.legion
8/15/99, IGL, Pipezone
Round One: 254-161
Round Two: 358-89
Final Score: 612-250

Kindred has had some problems learning this map, but atlast we have found our plan. 100K started off very strong in the first round and for most of the match it was neck and neck until Kin started to can things up abit. Both rounds were played on Kindreds server and I must say that 100k was great sports and man do these guys have some good Dm soldiers. Everyone keep there eyes open for these guys to become a BIG player in TFC. GG 100k

Clan Erinyes holds down ][nsurrection
8/15/99, IGL, Pipezone
Round One: 231-200
Round Two: 270-176
Final Score: 501-376

We had a great game with ][nsurrection tonight, finishing off the Pipezone season (hooray!).

Round 1: We gave ][ the first round advantage, playing on their server where they had a little ping advantage. Things kicked off without a hitch and CE quickly grabbed three of the four command points. A few cp's were traded for a bit before we managed to grab all four and dish out some quad pain. At that point we all relaxed and it looked like we were in for a pleasant evening of owning the map.....But that didn't last long! After their shaky start, ][nsurrection came charging back, locking down our upper catwalk, and dropping scouts like rain onto all the cp's. By midmatch ][ capped all four cp's and was only down by fifty or so. From then on the intensity grew and grew as both clans traded cp's, with ][ making most of the headway. A couple times ][ came extremely close to capping all the points and taking the lead, but it was not to be. The round ended none too soon at 231-200 in CE's favor.

Round 2: During the intermission we decided to keep the same general strategy, figuring that our improved pings and some minor adjustments would help us win the day. Pings were noticeably nicer for everyone (including ][nsurrection) on the CE server. The round got under way and once again the CE runners quickly grabbed three cp's and worked on building a lead. We managed to hold the points much better this round, and we kept most of the fighting on ]['s side of the map. As a result, CE capped all the cp's twice and did a good job controlling the cp's in general. The round ended 270-176.

Quite a few of us thought this was our best challenge so far, especially round one where we were on the ropes and caught off guard. We definitely look forward to playing ][ again in the future, and we thank them for the fun match.

Coup de Grace shows their experience to the Agression Rangers
8/15/99, IGL, Pipezone
Round One: 299-153
Round Two: 305-131
Final Score: 604-284

Another week of IGL, and the last week for Pipezone. CdG having two previous weeks of matches on the map decided they wanted to play it again. Looking at AR's history we realized they haven't played it yet. The first week they got a forfeit, the second week they changed maps. We got the e-mail requesting us to change maps but we like the map and have to play it in other leagues so we decided to stick with the default and play Pipezone again.

In the first round we quickly took command racking up the command points. Their scouts were excellent in spamming the caltrops across the floor and they sometimes would concussion jump in an attempt to cap CP2. We battled against them furiously getting all 4 cp's about 6 times in the round. When all was finished we were ahead at the end of round1 299-153.

Round 2 we headed to their server and got things rolling. This time we weren't as fast in getting the points, but after about 3 minutes we managed to cap all 4 cp's getting the Quad damage bonus. The PM bug struck and we all continued fighting hard. This round AR was very spammy. Often times leaving our base, I would be greeted with a Mirv grenade. Once I got past that we had a demoman on Cp2 throwing mirv's one at a time until he ran out up to our top base exit. What fun. Through out it all we overcame the spam surges and proved ourselves victor again with a score of 305-131.

Great game AR, hopefully you'll be happy again with next weeks map in IGL!

8/15/99, IGL, Pipezone
Round One: 251-140
Round Two: 268-171
Final Score: 519-311

I'll be honest, before this game, based on what I'v seen earlier this week on some messageboards...I expected trouble, thankfully there wasn't much trouble..certaintly wasn't perfect, but nothing real bad. Round 1 started on their server...thought I can't give much more detail than the score because with this new comp I got, I'm stuck with a winmodem currently :( I had bought a new one, but it was yet another winmodem in diguise...so I was the demo firing widly at their base, hoping to snag a few flag carriers in the madness, which I did :) round 2 I didn't stick around for because of easy 1000+ pings on my part...if anyone could, suggest a PCI/USB NON-winmodem on the igl board thats a decent price (below 100 dollars)...heheh sorry I put that on the writeup, but I can't stand this modem :) Anyhow, scores went as follows, BS could of been more challenge if they took time to practice pipezone as they admitted they hadn't..ahh well so ends the pipezone rotation now.

Kollectiv wrenches NULL
8/15/99, IGL, Pipezone
Round One: 215-145
Round Two: 227-162
Final Score: 442-307

Tonight Kollektiv faced NULL on the battlefields of pipezone. Both teams were poised and ready for battle. Round one was held on MSG server, which was administered by a couple of their clanmates. The round started without a problem. Both clans roared from their respawn areas carrying flags. Capping was quick for both teams. The first 10 minutes of round one was a neck and neck race, Null started to pull away then Kollektiv was able to come back with a quick cap of all four points, putting them ahead. Kollektiv then continued with two more 4 point caps and was able to hold this lead to the end, winning by 70 points.

Next round moved to Kollektiv's Matrix server, which began to experience ping problems as everyone got into the server; as has been on the last two matches.

So everyone agreed to move back to MSG's server. Round 2 started out without a problem. Both teams rushing to capture points early on. Kollektiv gained the lead over NULL after a slow start. Again Kollektiv began capturing all 4 points giving them the lead. One member of Kollektiv dropped due to connection problems, but this did not seem to effect the clan. They kept moving flags and capturing points when taken. Round 2 ended with Kollektiv the winner again.

Great game NULL, hope to see you again on the battlefield. And hats off to your server operator, he ran a fine match.

Army of Darkness overpowers CompWorld Frag Force
8/15/99, IGL, Pipezone
Round One: 383-57
Round Two: 356-59
Final Score: 739-116

All in all, a good match, just dang glad not another forfeit. CWFF managed to scrouge up 6 players while we brought our 8. Rd1 was held on CWFFs server where pings were decent, a couple of our players hit around 900 latency for awhile, but no biggie. The round started off with {AOD} capping all four points almost before CWFF could get out of their respawn, we never looked back, we went on to restrict them to only capping their base point throughout the match. We managed to pull off a more than just a couple quad damages in the meantime. {AOD} slides by 383-57.

Rd2 went on to be played on {AOD}'s DOA server. Latency seemed good all the way around. CWFF went on to see much more of the same from {AOD}. We managed to cap all 4 points once again in less than a minute and never stopped after that, holding off CWFF with stellar defensive play we pulled away again. Rd2 ended up with the score 356-59.

CWFF were great sports throughout the match, didn't say a word until towards the end where a couple smart remarks were made, but all in all it was fun. GG to CWFF.

WOLF pounces on Special Defense Unit
8/15/99, IGL, 2forts and Well
Round One: 8-3
Round Two: 7-0

Well. Since both of our clans agreed on 2fort and well. So we played them instead of pipezone..

First round was 2fort. It was tough. SDU's clever scouts head out and got a early cap.. Soon followed by our medic and it was tie.. After hundreds of retries and revising the strategy. We finally wrapped up with a 80-30 win.

Second round was well. Our demoman head out early and bravely destroyed SDU's grate and sacrificed himself. Our offence head out and got the captures. When match ended it was 70-0.

Great game SDU. Hope we meet again.

Talking Goats start over against United Forces of the Regiment
8/15/99, OGL Ladder, Rock and 2forts
Round One: 1-0
Round Two: 5-2

The Goats are back in the OGL! We played a fairly new clan tonight, United Forces of the Regiment. Some of their clan are from over seas so we set the match up for Sunday afternoon and it worked out well. We played both rounds on our new dedicated T1 server - The 3 Foot Rope (Talking Goat Song) We had a slight advantage with latency but it was good overall for both clans.

First round was rock2. Our Offence worked their Goat butts off to get the one cap. Once we got that cap, UFR moved to a 6 man D. As for our Defence, Our Sentry Gun in the Gas Chamber lasted the whole match without needing more ammo or armor. Good Job D!

Second round was 2fort. UFR got the first cap with their initial rush but the Goats, led by Killroy's Conc Jumping and Beast_Of_Aargh Clearing the way got a quick cap soon after. From then on the D buckled down with Thez and Darkglobe's Sentries mowing down their rushes. I beleive near the end they moved to a 5 or 6 man Offence and our Defence held strong as our Offence took over.

UFR is a class act and it won't surprise me if I see them close to the top 10 in the next few months.

Coup de Grace squeezes Thunderballs
8/14/99, TGL, Canalzone
Round One: 139-72
Round Two: 262-76
Final Score: 401-148

Clan CdG and TB had a fun match, however TB had some connection problems. 7 of their 8 members came from one LAN on a T3 connect, which gave them great pings, however, this night, also knocked out 7 of their team 3 times during the match. The first time, towards the end of round1, we agreed to let that be the end, and start round2. The second and third times they disconnected, we ceasefired and waited for them to reconnect. In any event, the 2nd round finished. There were a number of all cap points by CdG, and TB captured all cap points once. CdG also was able to detpack TB's command center two times, resetting all their flags. Overall a good game. When TB gets their connections to stay, they will be a force to be reckoned with due to their really nice pings, and probably really nice communications with all on one LAN. Of interest also, Thunderballs is the first clan to sign up for the new TGL division: "Nothing But Hunted". Welcome aboard TB.

One of their members is the author of the excellent Hunted map ThePres, the one with the Rocket as the President's destination. Visit http://tgl.fortress2.com for more details on the TFC and the "Nothing But Hunted" divisions.

Special Defense Unit pacifies Decoys of Hostility
8/14/99, TGL, Canalzone
Round One: 200-160
Round Two: 300-40
Final Score: 500-200

The battle was good, each side doing much damage upon the other. But in the end people from DoH left, and SDU would like to recognize 3 people in DoH who stayed and finished the game off. Spaz, OP, and Gallanc. They had good sportsmanship, and made this game actually fun.

Total Harmonic Destruction can't stand BitchSlap
8/12/99, OGL Ladder, 2forts and Well
Round One: 4-0
Round Two: 10-3

Ughh..this match was everything that is bad about clans and TFC.

Bitchslap showed up on our server and immediately started complaining about team-damage being on. They said it was against OGL rules (NOT!). We tried to explain to them it wasn't. They then started trash talking and being rude.

The first round was on 2fort. THD's offense got going after a slow start and pulled the first cap a few minutes into the match. We slowly and surely pulled out 3 more. Our defense did a great job holding BS back and shut them out. The round ended 4-0 in favor of THD.

Round 2 was on well. The THD offense got out of the gate fast and capped 4 times in short order. BS went to a mostly offensive setup and we took advantage capping 6 more times. The trash talking by BS started up again towards the end of the match. We found them trying to do the respawn turret disable cheat right after this. With minutes to play BS-Apocalypse crashed the server by spamming a really long name change over and over again in rapid succession. You can see the screenshots on our website if you like (home.columbus.rr.com/clanthd). The score was 10-3 in THD's favor when the server went down.

We have formally complained to OGL about Bitchslap's actions. Consider yourself warned about these guys. Playing them does not make for a fun night.
