Sniper

I refuse to do a real guide on sniping as well I hate the buggers they really are pathetic and if I had my way would be limited to 1, and then only on certain maps.

If you must be sniper then try guarding your teams flag, stand behind it-hidden charge, and point at flag wait bang.

Engineer

Health: 80

Armour: 25 (80 Max)

Speed: Medium

Special Skills: When you hit teammate with wrench you do up their armour,
You can build Sentry Guns
You can build Ammo\Armour Dispensers

Special Skills Button
Another useless one, it brings up you build menu with the engineer options on it, but any half decent or aspiring engineers will have them binded to keys.

Weapons

Wrench
Replaces the crow bar and does very little damage, but don’t write it off just yet, this little beauty has many more uses. One of the things that make the HWG and the Solly such good defensive classes is their armour count, its huge. The problem is they take ages to get back to the resupply room when it falls down. This is where you come in, give them a little whack with your spanner of goodness and they get a nice repair.
It also allows you to apply maintenance to your Sentry Gun and Dispenser. Hit a sentry gun and if you have enough metal (130) it will go up a level, if you don’t or hit it again it will repair it, again or if its full health you will add ammo to it till everything is 100% and its Level 3 or your out of metal.

Railgun
Now this sounds mean, it looks like that small but powerful gun off Men in Black, it looks like Han Solo’s gun but its not, it makes an air rifle look as powerful as the snipe rifle, it fires little green bolts of well light, it does so little damage it takes 9 yes 9 hits to kill the weak scout, how many it takes to kill a full health armour HWG is unthinkable. Its only possible uses are to take out sentries at long-range, piss off enemy snipers or when you are out of shotty ammo.

Super Shotty
You main weapon, powerful enough to rip the light classes apart and still is quite fast a firing, it can even hold off a solly while you prime an EMP. Reload as often as you can, as it’s a real pain if you have to reload as that bloody spy nips by you again.

Grenades

Frag Grenade

Simple powerful grenade, will kill scouts, snipers, engineers with 1 good hit, nearly kill medics and demo men and will do a bit of damage to a solly. If one lands near your sentry it will take it down to about 7% health so be ready to dive in the second it goes off to save your gun.

EMP Grenade

These are the things that change you from an underused, crap, weak, mechanic into an evil engineer, they are different from most weapons as they don’t do any damage, they just explode your ammo. It hurts some classes more than others, but if you play it right they can’t hurt Medics or Snipers, or Spies. Note they can go through floors roofs and just about anything and will take out your own sentry if your not careful.

Dispenser

This is one hell of a beauty, why you ask? After all its only an ammo dispenser, WRONG!! This is a bomb and a big one at that. Place it in a position you can see and when an enemy goes near it BOOM, make sure you have a key binded to it.

Bind p detdispenser

Then when you see the message “Enemies are using your dispenser” press it and say bye, bye. (Make sure you have killed then first or you will look stupid)

This is a great weapon but it does have a drawback, it does damage depending on how much ammo you put in it, I try for 3 extra lots after I have made it. That’s make it, hammer with wrench. Go to resupply 3 bags, hammer a few times, and repeat 2 more times. Otherwise it will be about 5 mins before it can even kill a fully armoured medic. L

Where to put them??? A good question, try narrow choke points, for example on 2fort the door between the RR and the Lift, the bottom of the lift to the basement bit. Next to the flag so when you hear the message about enemies stealing it BOOM. Be imaginative so the enemy doesn’t expect it to be there then BOOM haha.

Forward to honour or death

You cat could defeat the enemy attack? Bored with just hitting your gun all day?? Then try joining the offence for a bit. You can be quite a useful tool with your EMP’s, just remember to set up a your gun and dispenser and a few binds to tell your defence when its under attack etc.

Last minute advise

As the last line of defence you kneed to know everything possible, remember to listen for footsteps, look at the top left of your screen and see when your fellows die, anything to allow you to get ready.

Don’t be lame and remember YOU CAN HEAL ARMOUR so if someone calls for a medic near you they probably mean YOU go and help them.

Take a leaf out of the Japanese WW2 pilots book, go on suicide runs, a sentry\HWG combo holding your attack down, go in shotty firing throw an un primed EMP, prime another and hold then charge.

Spy check EVERYONE, that means everyone, hit them with your spanner. If they try to run a few shotty blasts will do instead.
